Johan Sigeman

Lawyer & partner

I specialize in general business law with particular emphasis on labour law and dispute resolution for both Swedish and foreign companies. I have worked with these types of issues for over 30 years as an advisor, counsel and arbitrator. From time to time, I am asked to train larger organizations or company executives in labour law. Since the mid-1990s, I have been appointed as arbitrator in a large number of disputes, often within procedures administered by the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

For many years I have been teaching labour law at Lund University’s Faculty of Law and I am chairman of the Labor Law Association in southern Sweden.

I have been a member of the Swedish Bar Association since 1990. Since November 2010 I am approved as a mediator by the international institute CEDR, Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution, London.

In addition to my legal work, I have a great commitment and interest in chess, both in Sweden and internationally. Since 1993, the law firm has sponsored an international chess competition, now known as the TePe Sigeman Chess Tournament. I am also a member of the FIDE (World Chess Federation) Ethics and Disciplinary Commission.
